Honestly, have you ever spoken to a politician? Have you ever written one and had them actually correspond with you?

In case you may think I'm curious about what it's like... Been there done that!
To date I've spoken to 11 politicians and written to more than three dozen over the years.
I know they love form letters... blah

Yes I have email from one of my Senators in my inbox now.
Spoken to them also.
what the hell did i get thumbs down for this answer for... hrmph. I do have email in my inbox from my senator.

Yes, multiple times and I have had one state legislator over to my home for a couple of non-profit org meetings as well. Good politicians will at least send you some sort of response if you write in to them (every vote counts you know).

Yes, many times. I have no problems corresponding with politicians. I've even corresponded with President Bush.
Years ago, I used to be very politically involved and ran many campaigns. :)

I have had several conversations with State Assembly members, State senators and city Mayor.
Also conversations with the one time Speaker of the California House, Cruz Bustamante.

Yep, when I was at school, we invited lot's of local politicians to come and speak to us. We had good fun confronting them all over local issues an stuff.

They just send you back a form letter if you write to them.

No they don't write or talk to you they have some high schooler that works part time call or write to you!!
And yes I have it doesn't matter Dem or Rep they all tell you what you want to hear and turn around and do what they want to anyway!!

Yes, his name was Mark Foley. He told me he loved me and wanted to see what my "thing" tasted like. We used to chat online a lot.
