You qualify for medicaid based upon your income and the need for medical care due to pregnancy and inability to pay for the care.
All you have to do is ask your prenatal care provider for an application. Documents you will need are proof of residence, proof of income, 2 forms of ID and papers from your doctor.

Don't quit your job...the income level is pretty high you'd probably qualify rather you are working or not even if there are two incomes coming in....call and ask what the income level is. And then go from there.....The local health department in you area should be able to answer all of your questions. congrats and good luck!

just go to your local DHS office and ask for an application. I'm using it as a secondary insurance, I have a full time job with decent pay and was afraid I wouldn't qualify but i did! They do alot to help out a mom to be. Where I live they have WIC which pays for certain foods, like milk, juice, cheese, cereal etc etc. They even pay a percentage of my mileage to my dr appts. if I fill out the form. They have tons of things to help out. I was alittle scared to go apply but I'm happy I did now, I don't know what I would've done.

you may call your medical doctors workplace & get their common quote for a classic being pregnant & transport. this would not contain the scientific institution's expenses! consistent with what section you're in, it incredibly is a entire of everywhere of $5000 (unlikely anymore, yet one among mine value that years lower back), as much as possibly $20,000. Any problems, surgical procedures, neonatal care, and so on could of direction value a great deal greater. if your toddler replaced into born pre-maturely & had to spend some weeks interior the scientific institution, the cost must be staggering. it incredibly is recommended to look into getting guy or woman scientific wellness coverage rather.

There is state financial help. which you may qualify for even if you are working. it depends on how much you make. The programs vary in each state. I would call your local unemployment office (blue pages of phone book) and ask them if they know the name of your states financial program. Explain to them you are pregnant. Its very important to keep up with prenatal care. In fact, I bet you could call any doctors office for info on it, which Im sure they have. Then call the program and ask them what you need. Good luck
