I always accept an apology when it's heartfelt and genuine.
Misunderstandings happen all the time.
Now a repeat pattern of negative or abusive behavior (Smitty for example or someone in my real world who is really nasty towards people for no reason), those I just ignore and move on without them in my life, but I always accept the apology first.

If a person who is apologizing doesn't sound sincere or genuine in their apology and instead sounds as if it's rehearsed and has no emotion to it then I won't accept it as I know that it's just being said as the person feels as if they have too apologize which in turn means that they aren't sincere nor are they truly sorry.

When a person who's apologizing repeatedly does the SAME thing over and over in which they were originally apologizing for in the first place... in this case, that person apology means nothing.
