USC- Had to crack up laughing when my acceptance letter read, "Welcome to the Trojan Family!"
...Does that sound like an oxymoron or what???
...But I love those Trojans!

I attended NMSU (No more Silly Uniforms! - Just kidding - New Mexico State Universtiy) and still go during the summers in my rambling round about mission to get my Masters. It was a great school for the most part, did their best not to waste my time (with the exception of the technology department) and got me started in my career in record time.
I attended another University in the area for one semester, but walked out with a 4.0, turned down a two thousand dollar scholarship, and told them they were wasting my time. They wanted me to spend five to seven years in my quest to get my Bachelors, and after retiring from the Army Band, I did not think that was a reasonable time frame. When you consider a College or University, pay attention to the amount of time they actually want you to matriculate. Remember that every year you are paying an educational institution for the privilege of hanging around, you are losing one year that you could have spent generating income and gaining experience.
Before you consider a school take a look at their average entrance to degree time, and before you consider taking a course, take a hard look at the percentage of students who graduate from each class. Believe it or not, especially in upper level classes, there is a trend by which some professors are holding over up to a third of their students to keep the class size up and justify the course! Ouch!
There is also a trend by which financial institutions helpfully volunteer to give orientation lectures for the school, while they privately assure anyone who signs up with their company can forgo the entire qualification process. Of course there is no qualification process for student loans, and someone from the school usually ends up on the board of that financial institution, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence!
