US federal minimum wage is $5.85 an hour for most people. Many states have higher minimums. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._state_minimum_wages

First of all, it depends on your state, and what part of that state you are in. I think the national minimum wage is $5.15 or so, and depending on where you live, it could be as high as $10/hour or more!

You can check how much minimum wage is by going online to your state's government website. It should tell you on there somewhere.

I don't know the answer because minimum wage varies from state to state. Here in Illinois it's $7.50 an hour. Sorry that I wasn't any help. But just edit your question and add your state. Or you can google it. Either way.
