I get alot of dirty looks when I take my children out in public because I'm only 20 and I look about 17 plus my 4 year old looks about 7 so you can imagine what people must think about me, but I really do think that I am a way better mom than most other mothers that I know. Does anyone else have this problem or is it me? And honestly as moms do yall judge all other mothers? cause I find myself doing the same thing all the time and I wondered if that was just a mom thing....

Yes. I'm 29 but I look like I'm much younger, and I got some weird stares and reactions when people found out I have 3 children. Many people would act like they felt sorry for me! As if motherhood was a curse and not a blessing.

Honestly, it's ideal to have children when you're young and strong anyway.

I think as humans we all judge. Forget the mom thing. I'm 24 and I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. People always assume I'm younger because I look way younger and that I'm unmarried or that I got married because I became pregnant. Well I'm 24 I've been married for 4 years and my daughter is only 2 so no I didn't get married because I was pregnant!! I hate when people assume things. I also get dirty looks but I know I;m a great mother!!!

Isn't it funny how people always assume the worst? I don't have any kids yet, but I've been taking care of other people's kids from the time i was 15 or so (I'm 24 now). I've gotten all sorts of awful looks while carrying my friends' 2 year old, or when I was taking care of my preemie goddaughter. Now... why is it that none of these judgemental women stopped to think that I was babysitting, or a nanny, or that I was married and just looked young, or even that I was young with a child but was a good mom nonetheless? Sure, there's the occasional 16 year old girl with 3 kids who just dumps them off on her mom, but that's definitely the exception.

I judge other mothers (or fathers) if I see them demonstrating bad parenting, by not paying attention to what their kids are doing, or screaming too much or hitting them in a way that could not in any way be considered spanking, etc. But age is no reason to judge a mother. Even if you were a 12 year old mother, whats important is how you are raising the child, not how old you and your child are.
I get irritated because everyone and their brother asks me if I'm getting married. Why do I have to get married just because I'm pregnant? Do I need a mans permission to have a baby or something?

I am 31 but look about 23 or 24 years old. Which is bad when I take them all with me somewhere. My oldest is 13 and my youngest is 4 weeks. I have even had someone tell my husband I was cheating with a young brown headed guy and turns out they were talking about my 13 year old son one time when him and I went to Wal-Mart. And I really get the weird looks when I am out with my 13 year old and the new baby.

Sometimes I wish people would just stop and ask questions rather than giving nasty looks.

I don't really care what people think. I once had a woman tell me I was too young to have a child. I don't know how old I was but I only had one child so I was around 24. She was forty or fifty something and had a child in kindergarten which I thought was too old so... whatever. I had my daughter at 18 and yes I was young, but I always took responsibility and didn't try to push anything off on my parents. I worked and went to college full time at the same time and got myself a decent paying job. (now married with one more and one on the way) As long as you are taking care of business who cares what others think

I am 25 years old and look about 21, I have a 5 yr old and babysit a 4 month old and I am 17 weeks pregnant. People look at me all the time like I am crazy, I say "the oldest is only mine, but I am due in Jan. for another one". They say things like, wow! Thank goodness!
People always stick their noses where they don't belong.

Well i am 18 and pregnant i get all kinds of dirty looks. I guess just a lot of ppl do not have lifes of there own so they have to judge everyone else. I judge other moms yes when there kids are running around all crazy and there not doing anything about it. And also when i see moms that have like 4 kids and there like 18( trust me i know girls that are that age with that many or more kids) that is just dumb to me i mean cmon do ya not know how this happends. But ya i know what you mean.
