yeah, but it would be worse to send a "Die Peacefully and Without Massively Painful Complications" card.

Depends. How long have they been sick, why do you think they're likely to die?

If there's any hope at all for them, send the get well. You never know.
If you're that sure they're dying, go with the thinking of you card.

edit: OMG, I don't think you should send them a sympathy card as someone suggested. That's rather horrible! Like you can't wait.

No, because you just never know when someone might make a recovery. Doctors can be wrong about someone dying. My Aunt lasted a lot longer than they thought she would. Sometimes the will to live is just too strong to allow death to come.

I'm with Lady Twee. It's only a matter of time before Hallmark fabricates a "Good Luck With Your Death" card.

I think it's better to send a "thinking of you" card in that case.

I did it a couple of years ago.

It was basically just an empty gesture that made everyone look at me better, which is what counts.

God Bless you, and keep the weight down!

I guess it's better than nothing, right? Plus, they won't hurt anymore when they die, so they will, technically, be getting well soon, right?

Not trying to be rude, just practical.
