Mac’s aren’t overpriced PC’s?
Apple Corp makes the plastic case for their computers. THAT’S IT. The motherboard is Asus, graphics by ATI, CPU by Intel, RAM by Corsair or other, harddrive by Toshiba, screen and drives and everything else is 3rd party. Apple puts it together and gives you their warranty, just like HP and Dell. That isn't a secret, you can check in "About This Mac" under the blue Apple on your Mac and see who makes everything. It isn’t a secret either that 90% of PC problems is caused by the clueless user. I recently built a high end gaming rig with the following specs for $2,000. Now, price out a similar Mac and tell me the total. Several things aren’t even an option for Mac’s yet I’m sure the price will be much higher.

In response to the iPhone, Microsoft is selling the same touch-screen Windows Mobile phones they've been selling for years. Windows Mobile phones have a physical slide-out keyboard, longer battery life, MS Office '07, wireless hardware syncing (to projectors for PowerPoint, etc), resolution independent DeepFish web browser, and costs less than half the price.
It’s got nothing to do about affording a iPhone (or any Mac product) but… why would I buy an iPhone with no physical keyboard, no battery life, no productivity software, no hardware syncing, and then pay ALOT more money? Because it's "cool"? No thanks.
Now let’s see what intelligent response I get to this.
BTW, A fanboy is a common word used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like. Pathetic isn’t it?

Not virus free, just a lot less direct attacks. There's no virus-free anything.
MAC is not the same as a Windows PC, it's still a personal computer, but for brand loyalty and recognition, it's easier to say Mac.
Macs do much more creative stuff and because of the bundled first party software, you can do more for less money and without a high learning curve.
Macs cost about the same as a higher end computer (Alienware, etc) and they are marketed to design, media professionals, and people who don't want to mess with computers not gamers or hackers. So they do more "normal stuff", however you can still get a few good games and run windows on it, in case you needed them.
Every higher end phone is very expensive when newly released. Not every phone has touch screen controls or an OS included. If people have 700 dollars to spend on a phone, I'm pretty sure they'll have 75 to change the battery. :)
90%, it used to be 95%. For a reason. I hope you can walk to an apple store to try an iMac, you'll be surprised how affordable and simple they are. I've had a high amount of pcs since the Win95 days, and now I almost exclusively use Macs. There will be more development on the few kinks it has right now (as far as standard video / programing) but there are always work-arounds for them.
About the "restrictions"... they don't make sense to someone who really just wants to do normal everyday things. There's internet solutions, business solutions, PoS solutions, Designer/ Artistic solutions, and a few games. There are emulators and converters for pretty much everything out there. Again, you can always install Windows with no problem on the mac... Some people have tried doing the oposite on a pc, but it doesn't work as well (that means you can't put together a low-cost mac, for all you geeky bitches). Plus, they're pretty, you can't fight pretty. You just can't. :)

I do prefer a good PC over a Mac. However, it's no reason to go bashing Mac users! I also use a Mac for media editing, and it gets the job done much more nicely than a PC. Other than that, though, PC is much better.

90% Windows had nothing to do with quality. Learn your history N00B! When Intel was able to reverse engineer the IBM PC chip back in the mid-80's, it allowed crappy PC makers to build cheap PC's. Then Gates and Co. wrote Windows 3.1 (really crappy knock off of Mac OS). Now there were a lot of cheap PC's with something better than MS-DOS. People want cheap, and they get what they paid for. Junk. And people buy what they friends have,kids get what they had in the home, and so on.
Don't you hate it that Apple is selling more computers to first time Mac buyers than any other PC maker is selling?

Heres what I evaluate a computer and a Mac laptop: enterprise/ college oriented. additionally reliable for designing. Mac: plenty greater of a "exciting" pc, greater suited for music, and teen ladies. effect: do not purchase Into the hype, the middle type laptop can out carry out the severe end Macs.

this is very true not to mention how restricting the mac os is i love how the possibility's are endless with a windows or Linux os i fell sorry for the mac user's out there that don't realize how locked in a box there world is when they use a mac. also the fact that there are mac viruses out there and few options to defend a mac so as soon as an outbreak takes place mac's will be in hell.a well defended windows xp computer is just as stable as a Linux system and thats a proven fact. one last thing is how mac has to approve everything that u use on a mac pc or u break the (eula) end user licence agreement mac is so restricting u cant even use thier os on any pc without a mac symbol on the side of it talk about rip off.

Fact: I've never gotten the blue screen of death on my Mac, nor has it ever frozen up or needed reset.
