i heard farmers rent or hire machinery such as combine harvesters.?

what happens if there is terrible weathr when they are due to rent the machine are they duty bound to take the machine anyway as my hubby thinks or do they simply wait?

if the machine is rented for lets say a certian weekend to harvest and the weather is prohibitive of that then the farmer would have to line another one up if that piece of equipment isn't heading to another location. usually it's a hurry up and wait cenerio
