well, tom, you are hearing the whining right now.
the spin doctors that the neo cons have right now turn anything remotely negative into a hate rant.
i read some of the answers, and couldn't stop laughing. i think sean hannity used to be a tobacco lobbyist, the way he turns everything around.
i listen to sean and rush everyday, for a little while, and i have to go outside and make sure that the sky is up.
i think that the local and cable channels report fairly. i notice that sean didn't say much about bush's amnesty plan, but he ragged everyone else. i really think the more that they protest, the more scared they are. real power cares little about criticism. did you ever hear henry ford the 2nd's, great comment when someone asked him what his motto was? he said, "never complain, never explain."
quite frankly, to answer your question, i doubt that they could ban it. bush would have to use the patriot act or its brother.

Take a look around: the stations are leftist. Apparently that's not good enough for you though. But if there WAS a TV network according to you that really was liberal, we conservatives wouldn't be allowed to ban it. There would be a huge uproar and WE would be the bad guys. So no, you would get away with it.

No, I can't imagine it , since Republicans just have 1 TV Fox News that they can spew their hate, like you do. Tell me what other TV Channel except Fox wants to even look at a Republican , some old Radio Stations but who listens to those old crazy doped headed. Liberals listen to music on the radio not some old pill popping dope fiend.

For the trillionth time, no one is concerned with the Fairness Doctrine except right-wing wackos. No liberals care about this. They care about diversity of media ownership. But when we did have the Fairness Doctrine--which worked quite well, by the way--of course it applied to every network and every radio station. Otherwise, it wouldn't be fair, woul dit? You have been sold an inaccurate bill of goods.

I don't know if it would be banned, but the problems that Air America has been having don't make me too hopeful for its success. I think that liberals are just not as confrontational and willing to bend the truth as neocons, and without that kind of drama, people don't seem to want to tune in.

lol the majority of news has been left leaning for years then along comes one that has a fair and balanced agenda and it is bashed by you people to smithereens talking about fox news. OK I admit it is a bit right leaning. But how can you even not know the CNN and ABC CBS NBC and so many others lean left? You can't be that naive or can you?

It would be banned from heavy criticims. The media isn't liberal biased, I haven't seen a liberal anchor in my life! I have seen many conservative anchors on CNN and MSNBC.

You must be pretty far to the left to be able to say that with a straight face. I can understand not wanting to listen to Michale Savage, or watch Fox News for fear of conservative bias, but if you see conservative bias in other media outlets, you probably won't be able to find 'unbiased' reporting outside of back issues of Pravda.

We wouldn't have to, because no one would watch it. Whatever happened to Air America?

American TV news is uniformly rightwing-biased, with the exceptions of:
Countdown with Keith Olbermann
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
They are THE ONLY LIBERAL MEDIA LEFT.
Sad but true.
