Hi Emiwee101, yes, it is normal, all is dependent on hormone levels and physical development.
At first, it is "normal" for adolescents to notice an inconsistent vaginal discharge and an irregular period during their initial menstrual periods, but these periods will eventually become more regular, occurring every 28 days or so. Young women may want to use pantiliners to discreetly cope with any spotting that occurs in the meantime. Yes, having a one-day first period is normal. It can take up to a year for your periods to regulate. To provide yourself with protection, wear pads when you feel like you may start again, this way there won't be an accident.

yeah it's normal - it usually takes a few months before your period will regulate, but it's different for everyone, and even then there can be irregularities.

It doesn't matter how long or short it is. I know someone who's is a week long. Mine is only a day. That is perfectly normal. Then in 28 days maybe a little bit before or after it will come back. You are lucky.

i just got my period also... it tends to stop and come again and stop and come again. don't worry. i've heard that it takes about a year for it to regulate. just wear liners when it goes away so if it does come back you can easily switch to pads or tampons.
