I just have the feeling this year that there is really no dominate team that will run the table and go undefeated. There are a lot of question marks for the contenders like USC (booty really hasn't impressed me much; we will find out if he's for real when he has unestablished WR's to work with, and really no running game and a brutal final 6 game schedule to end the year), LSU (A lot of uncertainty on the offensive side of the ball, and they play in the SEC although most of their tough conf games will be at home), Michigan (defense is really going to struggle and i don't see the offense being able to carry the team throughout the year), Wisconsin (Solid players on both sides of the ball, but really no superstar players who can give them the spark they need in crucial situations), Texas (McCoy will struggle a but and i'm not so sure he will be able to take the team to where they wanna go), and whoever else u wanna put up there all have some holes to fill.

USC was much better last season and didn't dominate half as much as u r saying they will this year. I'm not saying they're a bad team, i'm just saying that they are coming into this season with really an unestablished running and passing game. It's decent but it's not blow away good like u r all making it out to be. And last 6 games go
@ND
@Oregon
Oregon St
@Cal
@Arizona St
UCLA
someone honestly can't see at least 1 loss in any of the final 6. I'm not sure any team in college football would run the table through that schedule. It is much like Florida's schedule last year, and we all saw that even the eventual national champions couldn't make it through such a brutal schedule

hawaii won't run the table either. They have no defense whatsoever and i like Boise St. and nevada maybe even SJ ST to beat them.

first of all how can anyone say that USC's defense is better then have of the NFL??? you've got to be kidding me, any NFL team would have there way with USC.. the NFL takes all the best college kids and USC's entire defense isn't NFL caliber, so that right there is just a ridiculous comment.. but anyway i think Michigan has a great chance to go undefeated this year.. they play 8 of there 12 games at home.. yes some of there defense is a bit shaky but they have a ton of talent every year. just because they are young they wont be good? that doesnt make much sense.. Shawn Crable is a great linebacker for UofM and they also have soph Brandon Graham who was the number one linebacker coming out of highschool last year.. they will also be returning Jamar Adams the starting strong saftey last year and Terrance Taylor who was also a full time starter last year... the only spot they are semi-weak is corner and they have some really talented young guys to fill in for the likes of Leon Hall, Morgan Trent is a returning starter for them at corner... and besides Ron English is a good defensive cord. who will do a good job for them again.. and you guys already know about the offense so i dont need to go into detail about them

USC will go undefeated.
You may not know the names, but look at some of the preseason honors:
All Americans - 1st team
Booty - QB
Sam Baker - OT
Sedrick Ellis - DT
Keith Rivers - LB
Lawrence jackson - DE
Rey Maualuga - LB
Brian Cushing - LB
Taylor Mays - S
3rd teamers:
Terrell Thomas - CB
Fili Moala - DT
The defense lost 1 player from last year. Coach Carroll says this is the best/fastest defense he has ever coached (and that is really saying something). The analysts (I know take with a grain of salt) say that USC has the best linebacking core in the nation and probobly the best defense in the nation, period. In fact they have 3 linebackers that are on the Bednarik Award (top defensive player) watch list. 3 LINEBACKERS PEOPLE. Most teams would be thrilled to have one!
On offense they lost their center and 2 WR's. The rest of the team is back. You may not be impressed with Booty, and I was at times frustrated with him, he is very accurate, and he has now been the leader for a year. The wide receivers that are still with USC are scary good. Names you may not know now, but will later:
Patrick Turner - 6'5" 220lbs, runs 4.5 forty, roughly
Vidal Hazelton - 6'3" 210 lbs, runs 4.4 fourty
Travon Patterson - 5'9" 170 lbs, runs sub 4.4 40
never mind TE Fred Davis who is a beast.
As far as the running game, sure USC only rushed for an average of 130 yards a game, but that was with ALL NEW RB'S. This year they are going to get a lot more touches.
Mark it down, I am not just being a homer, USC goes undefeated this year.
********************************************************
And Deacon, before running your mouth, you should look up the facts (I have had this debate with you before). Booty was never a #3 at any other school. He graduated High School a year early to enroll at USC. He has only attended USC, and was the back-up to heisman award winner Matt Leinart. So once again yours facts don't pan out.
***********************************************************
OK Deacon, put down the drink. JOHN DAVID BOOTY WAS NEVER AT USC. Who are you thinking about? Mustain? He is third on the depth chart at best. The SOLID #2 is Mark Snachez, former Parade All American #1 QB prospect. But he shouldn't be that good right?!?!?!
As far as USC vs Nebraska, you have your opinion, but remember USC had a look at Nebraska last year too. All that came of that was this from the AP wire:
LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Southern California Trojans have a new starting quarterback and six new running backs.
But they look like the same old USC - with an even better defense than last year.
If there was any doubt, No. 4 USC declared itself a national title contender for a fourth straight season with a 28-10 victory over 19th-ranked Nebraska on Saturday night.
That's right, a 28 to 10 throtteling of Nebraska. And this years the team is better than last years. So hold in the reigns my man, hold them in.
Plus I don't really think that 20+ year old men who weigh better than 200lbs, are going to be really frightned by 5 year olds swearing at them. Plus have you seen where the campus of USC is? Watts my man, South Central Los Angeles. That is a bad neighborhood. I don't think they are going to be too scared. They handled their previous trips to the south, such as a 70 point shelacking of Arkansas last year, and a shut out of Auburn 3 years ago. And that was when both of those teams were goo and ranked.

I think the only dominating team is USC, Booty although he might not have impressed you has impressed everybody else in the country. Also being that you arent a fan of USC i can understand why you dont think that they have a running game. Just because they dont have a name like Bush or White doesnt not mean that they dont have one. In fact there only problem at running back is that they have to many greats. USC has 10 running backs that could start or atleast have significant playing time at any other ANY OTHER school in the country. They also have some good guys at wide reciever. You only know about big names like Jarret and Smith, but that is okay. There offense is going to be awesome again this year and they will have the best defense in the country.

Usc will go undefeated because Peet Caroll will make sure of it and they have the best all around team on both sides of the ball. Booty is a Hiesmen contender. and they still have one of the best reciving core in the ncaa even though they dont have DJ and Steve Smith. And there Running game will be one of the best because havent u heard of the name Joe McKinght the number one running back coming out of high school and plus there running game was good last year with CJ Gable and Chauncy Washington. They also have a top ranked defence
and lsu possibly will if there quaterback comes through this year.

Michigan's defense will be HUGE this year. They might be fresh, but as long as they get by Oregon and Penn State they'll be ready for Wisconsin by the end of the year. They've got some BEASTS on the line and Warren could be another Woodson type cornerback. They'll go undefeated.
Hawaii can go undefeated based on weak schedule, but they're a mediocre team. Same as West Virginia/Louisville.

USC. I'm not a Trojan fan, but that defense is better than half of the NFL. They are deep at all skill postions on offense, and Pete Carroll said the O-line is the best he's ever had college or pro. I don't see where the last six are so tough...Notre Dame(lol)? UCLA(improved, but come on)?
If anyone runs the table, it's USC's year.

1st i wanna ask if this question includes the bowl games or not and 2nd to the guy that said oklahoma and texas...Ur a MORON!!! They play in the same conference and have each otherr on the schedule plus a possible conference championship game between the two...Its impossible for them both to go undefeated. Wow i'm amazed at the stupidity of that answer you didn't think that one through at all did you?

How can you compare Florida and USC "brutal last 6 games"? Three of those 6 barely had a winning record.. ..
