If the child support is already in place per an order from the court, the distribution of the funds must follow that order until it is otherwise ruled.

A judge will be required to change the order. The child and/or the parents cannot simply decide and agree to another method of payment. If so, someone is in contempt of the original order.

Gotta go back to court for this one.

I am not really sure but Child Support as far as I knew is for the parent to receive in support of the child under their care. If a child or any one is renting a place independently then it is up to them to claim from the government for their living expenses and also get help to pay their rent. It is there choice to live away from the parent so it is up to them to organise the finances to enable them to live independently.

Probably best to check out the government website on unemployment and how old you have to be to get it if you are living away from home.

Not that I know of. Sometimes when a child is over 18 but goes to college and the other parent is required to still pay child support, it then can be sent directly to the child because they aren't a minor anymore.

Legally a court could modify the support order but there would have to be some sort of extraordinary circumstance.

Yes, if they want to pay rent, buy food and gas, pay the phone and utility bills, insurance and taxes!
