Quite often we form a blood clot right at the cervix and sometimes it comes out. Scary stuff when you are pregnant but rest assured, probally nothing to worry about. But I would defeniately let your doctor know about it.

Unless you recently got examined by your ob or were intimate, there is definitely some other reason for the spotting. Could be something harmless like breakthrough menstrual-type bleeding or from a vessel or capillary breaking near the cervix. But it could also signal another problem. I would call your doctor tomorrow and mention it. Was it bright red or brown?

I had the same thing happen to me at 20 weeks. The doc said to come in and get check out "just in case." He then said everything was fine and that I needed to take it easy for a week or so. Three weeks later I went into actual labor. I don't know if it was related to the bleeding or not. Luckily they were able to stop the labor and I now have a healthy 17 month old in my lap.
My advice go get checked "just in case"

Had sex or a vag exam recently?
If not, call your doctor. Bleeding in the second trimester, even just spotting, should be reported. It's probably nothing, but always err on the side of caution.

Now that is not any longer typical till you have been due or purely preg from implantation bleeding. you should telephone the record precise away, with cramps you are able to under no circumstances too careful. whether the toddler is positive, you'll have a situation with the placenta or the cervix and finally end up loosing the healthful baby.
