First of all, I'm so sorry for your less, especially so many weeks into the pregnancy.
You might not actually deliver the remains of the pregnancy, which means you might need a D&C soon, but you can wait and see what happens for a while.
You will be in my prayers.

I had a miscarriage too, but I was able to pass everything out, my ob/gyn gave me two little pills and those helped take everything out even the smallest tissue left in my empty womb, 10 days is a long time its almost two weeks, I would ask my Dr to give me something to help pass all that stuff or maybe to do a d&c you dont want to get an infection in there or for any reason have any complications. If I was you I would call my Dr and make an appointment, dont wait too long!!

I don't understand. if you did not pass anything how do you know you miscarried. When I had my miscarriage it was like a very heavy period with several small clots then one big clot. I would ask for a scan. I am sorry this has happened but I would rather do something than sit and wait it out. Maybe a DNC. I am sorry.
* okay- I did not realize that- I hope I did not sound insensitive.
I passed everything with mine and did not have to take medication or have a dnc. Again- I am so sorry for your loss.

i'm sorry on your losses. If the docs have defined your miscarriages as chromosonal abnormalities, possibly it's time to make certain a genetic expert. S/he can make certain what your possibilities are high for a powerful being pregnant which includes your better half sooner or later. All issues are a threat, purely have self assurance.

It's entirely up to you. You can either continue to wait for it to pass naturally - which can take weeks - or, you can choose to have a D&C.
I miscarried at about 8 weeks, and I tried to let it pass for nearly two weeks. I would have periodic gushes of blood that would stop abruptly, with no tissue passing. It was irritating and emotionally upsetting, so I ended up consenting to the D&C. I was relieved when it was over.
I'm sorry for your loss, good luck to you.
*To cmd: the baby can die in utero without passing. It's referred to as a missed miscarriage.

I think that 10 weeks is a awfully long time for it not to have passed...they should have scheduled a d&c by now to clear it out...I was under the impression that it could make you really ill if it isn't removed.

My sympathies on your loss.
I had four missed mcs and I had d&cs with all four. I would ask for a d&c in your case, or at least another ultrasound to determine what is going on in there. (The gestational sac changes shape as it leaves.)
