I saw a commercial the other day for a new calming body wash with a lavender scent. Does anyone know what this product is or who makes it? Also, if you know of any other nice lavender products please tell me. Thanks

Lavender is hot these days. A lot of companies make a lavender scented body wash. Dove. Oil of Olay. Ivory.

The Body Shop makes about the best sented body washs you can buy but it is really just easier(depending on where you live) and a lot cheaper to just make them yourself.
Simple body wash
One bottle of a good cheap(unsented) shampoo. Add about four drops of lavendar oil and shake well before use.
Summer Lavender Sugar Scrub
½ cup jojoba oil
¾ cup of white cane sugar
6 drops of lavender essential oil
Bunch of finely chopped fresh lavender and flowers (optional)
Mix ingredients to make a paste. Rub onto your body before taking a shower, scrubbing vigorously. Leave the mixture on your body for a minute or two before rinsing off. You should feel tingly all over and your skin may turn red where you scrubbed it. Don't worry this is normal. Just remember to avoid sensitive skin areas though, such as your face and neck.

Nail Soak Oil
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
4 drops each lavender and sandalwood essential oils
Combine ingredients. Soak nails in mixture for 10 minutes. Buff nails to stimulate circulation and bring out a healthy shine.

Natural Deodorant
2 ounces witch hazel (any drug store)
5 drops each sage and lavender essential oils
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well before every application.

Natural Body Powder
½ cup cornstarch
5 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops ylang-ylang essential oil
Add essential oils to cornstarch. Put through a sieve and mix well. Let sit a few days to incorporate scents into the powder.

Suave has a lavender body wash that is advertised on TV. But I prefer Olay.

Almost every line of bodywashes had a lavender scent. the johnson and johnson one is supposed to be nice. I like Yardley's and Bath and Body works.
