I'm indian but black people treat me like i've oppressed them for years, i have long black hair and darker than white skin, not dark but darker than usual. Is it that anyone that's not 'black' has become a target for black people to claim abuse from? I really didn't do anything to any black people, nor did my ancestors so why do they treat me as such? When i call them on it and say, "I've never done anything to you." they say, "no, but your ancestors did." i get pissed off quite frankly then i say, "No, white people and your people invaded my land and took over it, if my ancestors did anything to you it was out of retaliation and nothing more." Then when i say that i'm indian not white, they get all defensive and try to justify their actions by saying that indians abused blacks too.

reelperspectiv - that's exactly my point, why do you blame white people today for the things their great great grandfathers did? Same thing, practice what you preach.

Do not lower to that level. My 3 sons are part Cherokee and Sioux and I have never allowed them to feel hatred towards anyone. Yes, the native Americans were robbed and then herded to lands where they never had been, but remember to forgive. Most people of color (sorry to use the politically correct term but I don't want to offend anyone) know that the time for blame is gone, and now the time to change society is here. Education is the way, and peace is the path. Don't judge others, even if they incorrectly judge you. That makes you a better person.

A racist guy or woman is so on their very own accord and has no longer been "made" that way by using everybody different than possibly their parents. I even have met many racists and fairly a number of them have suggested issues to be with the aid of fact they presume me "white" (i'm Metis), yet none have claimed that i've got made them go through. all of them attempt to justify their hatred and concern with present day themes and stereotypes. do no longer seem for good judgment in racism, you will no longer locate it. If my ancestor 350 years in the past became right into a serial killer ought to I be held responsible? yet if my ancestor 350 years in the past became right into a slave dealer there are black racists now how would carry that against me in my opinion. carry ingredient against a rustic for its background till apologies are made, yet against persons for something that OTHERS did is lunacy.

Not every black person will be that way. And the ones who are being racist need to get over it and get a life. This is 2007, soon to be 2008, let the past stay in th past, bringing it up now is not going to change what happened. Being racist is not helping anything, it just shows ignorance. They're just trying to find some reason to complain.

Treating others anyway, is an individual thing...not really a race...some people are brainwashed, and eagerly attack other races,..for money, just to fight, or whatever...I get attacked by some because I am half Italian and Irish/English..go figure..it just comes down to some people will fight over anything...My ancestors were'nt here when there was slavery..so therefore, they didnt do anything anyway...tell the people to prove your ancestors did anything to them..it was Black slave owners, who sold them to Americans anyway..and I would say, Blacks have done very well for themselves, ..educationwise, financially,..everything.it has nothing to do with you being an 'Indian"...it is just the way some people are

They don't and didn't ever need any help from anyone when it comes to being a racist, they cop out and use lame excuses, no one alive today was ever a slave or a slave owner, they had the chance to have their own country and turned it down and now they sit around on their lazy butts doing nothing but complaining (Not all) it's old and pathetic. The Indians complaints are legitimate, I am a Indian also.

Its quite asinine to blame someone for something they didn't do directly. Also, I would appreciate it if you didn't group us all together, THANKS.

UM EXCUSE ME!! The reason I said that is because I don't think people should blame people's ancestors you idiot. Why would I say that and then not follow it??

I don't know but my Native American half breed in laws may have something to do with it. They loathe, hate, and despise folks of the colored persuasion. I'm white and there is no love lost there for me either.

Oh yeah and when your trying to have a civil conversation with them about this problem but all you get is resistence at every turn. Just consider what your talking to.
