I personally like Hilary Duff better for many reasons(too many to list).

Okay u people who keep saying I need better rolemodels. These girls are not my rolemodels. I am 30 year old women. I read mags and wanted to kinow what u thought. I also have a daughter who like Hilary Duff.

Hilary Duff came from nowhere and worked her butt off for her fame, her career and everything she has. Nicole Richie is famous for no reason other than she happened to be born to a famous dad, who is respected for many, many reasons.
While Lionel Richie makes a good point that Nicole has taken responsibility for her less-than-wholesome actions of late, (and before,) Hilary has led a pretty clean life and provides a much better role model for girls than Nicole. The Hilary Duffs are too busy working to have the time or the energy to get into this type of trouble, and that's why they are where they are and it's why they rose up from non-famous families with normal jobs. Work is work, and it takes WORK.
Seriously, if people only had a clue of what it takes to carve out a career in the movie biz or the music biz, they'd understand that the Nicole Richies and the Paris Hiltons, who have ridden to fame, either by choice or not, because they have famous "ins," have no business being famous.
If you don't believe me, just become a grip like I am, an electrician, a set dresser or somebody on a below-the-line film crew and follow either us or Hilary Duff around for a day. You'll find out what WORK is.

I also think Hilary Duff but the other day I watched an interview with nicole richie and she seemed very nice and i felt bad for her a little, because she was saying she regrets doing all those stupid thing, but anway i like Hilary more, I like her music too, and se acts but nicole richie does none of that so ya i have to agree with u!!

Seeing as none of us no them on a personal level my opinion is solely on what I've seen from TV. Nicole Richie seems funny and outrageous but she kinda seems like she wouldn't be a trustworthy friend, so for a good night out on the town I'd day Nicole, for a friendship or making beaded braclets Im gonna go with Hilary.

Hillary Duff. Nicole Richie is to skinny ( not to be mean )
and Hillary Duff is really nice and focuses on all ages with her music so.. yeah I would pick Hilary duff.

they are Italian. Also I prefer Hilary Duff!!!! I adore is huge!!!!!!!!!! I have all of she. Nicole Richie is unpleasant has stolen the fiancèe to Hilary. And then she is friend with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan (I do not know if I explain).

I personally think that Hillary Duff tries to hard to be good and therefore is hiding who she really is. People seem to like her more because they do not know as much about her and she stays away from the media. I think Nicole Richie is the better of the two because she (even though she doesn't always show it) knows what is right and wrong such as her decision to get married after she found out she was pregnant.

Hilary Duff definitely. Nicole Richie is a total disaster. I can't believe that she's having a baby. Maybe it will help her shape up though.
