hi,
I always buy the water proof mascara, and I put it on, then the next day after I get a shower, it makes black spots under my eyes. Why is this???

you are supposed to wash the mascara off. it isnt supposed to last that long.
make sure to remove it before you go to bed otherwise it is really bad for you.

You should put on mascara if you don't take a shower, or after you take a shower. Water-proof mascara isn't always the best of health for your eyes. Just stick to regular products and take it off before you get wet.

You should always use eye makeup remover before you go to bed. If you leave it on overnight, you'll have smudges the next day, even if it's waterproof. The waterproofing only lasts a few hours. I never use the stuff. It's a lot harder to remove, and is hard on the lashes, making them stiff and clump together.

you need to take it off at the end of the day, then apply new the next day
also, take it off before you shower and then put more on if you're going somewhere
or just wait to put it on for after your shower

Lumene puts out a great eye-makeup remover. If you let mascara stay on too long, it will smudge. I had the same problem once.

because it's waterproof. you shouldn't use waterproof mascara really because it only comes off when you don't want it to, on your face, and then you can't get it off your face. if you MUST use it, put a coat of non-waterproof mascara on first and then put the waterproof over it once that dries. then you'll be able to get it off when you want.

because its not supposed to run, the mascara is more sticky, so if you sleep with it on it smears, so make sure you take it off at night before you go to bed.

it's waterproof up to a point - if the water mixes with soap or whatever you use to clean the rest of your face, it partially dissolves it.
but you should really remove it before you sleep 'cause it's not very healthful to your lashes to leave it on.

because when you got a shower the water made it come off...you should have washed it off the night before though....
