My cousin and I are planning to go to a FOB concert when they come to the east coast after Europe and Asia etc. I am not really a concert kind of person though but I really want to see them. What are some concert dos and donts??

well first of all: dont go in like sandels. i swear i hate people who do that then complain about it. i went to a paramore/the almost/love arcade/this providence show and it was amazing. but there was this group of girls who were obviously there for paramore and the were like yelling at everybody for pushing them even though it wasnt their fault. also they got into some fights with my friends. she was gay.

also (i hope you dont find yourself their but it might happen) on the edge of the pit( idk what a fob pit is like but some people get really into it) if someone falls down get them up really quick. people can get hurt and stuff.

most of all have a lot of fun. crowd surf. let go. you dont see FOB everyday you know.

Wear comfortable clothes. Even if it is an indoors concert, it can still be pretty hot, so for a girl I'd say skirt and a tank top or something along those lines. Check with the venue or bands website to see if cameras are allowed, even if you sneak one in if you get caught by security they will take the camera or at least the memory card if its a digital one, not worth the risk.

Otherwise just go an have an enjoyable time. Don't drink too much booze and be "that person". Every concert for every band has them. You want to at least remember the show. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen security drag out drunk or passed out people before the main band even hits the stage.

Also, stand up and dance and enjoy the music. There is not a bigger buzzkill then when people just sit around and act like nothing is going on. Its a concert, enjoy yourself.

I can't think of much else. If they allow tailgating and you are into that then bring enough food and drinks and some comfortable chairs, but make sure to lock them up in your car before you head inside. If you have GA tickets then get in early for a decent spot to stand, if not it doesn't really matter when you get in. Make sure to check out the opening act. You can really easily discover some good new music this way because the opener is usually a bit similar to the main band.

Otherwise enjoy yourself and the show and don't drink too much of the alchy.

leave all valuables behind!!! i learned that the hard way. wear something comfy that will keep you cool. it does get very hot. im not thinking theres gonna be a pit cause it is fob. but if there is a pit i suggest that since you dont go to concerts that often to stay out of it. the people in the pit are the "most dedicated" fans and when they get in the pit they become crazy as hell. do bring a water bottle even though they sell them at the venues. depending on the venue you may or may not be able to have a camera. bring one in case and keep it where you can feel it. you never know who might try to hock something of yours. my gal friends take their jewelry off especially their earrings. betcha cant guess how they decided to do that!! anyways the most important thing is to have fun. if you feel unsafe just move somewhere else. or start talking to one of the security guys. they actually have quite interesting lives. ; )
i dont really know what to suggest cause i normally go to crazy metal concerts but these are basic suggetions.
HAVE FUN!!!!

Well I have been to a hip-hop concerts and rock concerts before and since FOB isn't hardcore it shouldn't be bad. Just go and have fun. I just hope your tickets aren't close to the stage because it can get insanely loud. I think the further away the better. I would rather have my hearing than see somebody up close and I think I have lost a little bit of mine.

Hi there, youre first concert is something you will want to remember and cherish, so here are a few rules to make that happen

wear comfortable clothes, and bring sunscreen if its outdoors
don't bring in a purse or anything easily snatchable
use the buddy system, never go anywhere youreself
use caution if you decide to mosh, most pits are pretty cool, but you always have the few assholes that like to get out of hand, avoid those people.
if youre going to drink, do it in moderation, nothing like getting groped by a stranger.
speaking of groping, thats whats going to happen if you crowd surf, use caution
be respectful of others, don't push and shove them out of youre way, say excuse me.
above all else have fun!!

In the Mosh Pit, don't chase after people or go into the circle where people are fighting. You could get hurt. When I was at a My Chemical Romance concert a girl was decided she wanted to chase people in the mosh pit and she almost broke her nose because blood was all over her face. Don't drink. Stay away from people who drink. Communicate with the people you are standing next to. If someone is wearing a band shirt and you like the band on their shirt, go talk to them. Buy band merchandise.

if it is outdoors, wear sunscreen (it can get really hot), and go to the bathroom before you leave becaue port-a-potties at concerts are putrid. careful if you bring a camara because you might get pushed and lose it, but considering it is a FOB concert, it shouldn't be too wild. avoid mosh pits and rude people. just ignore them, don't fight them. just have a great time. going to a concert is like nothng else.

The rule is THERE ARE NO RULES!Go wild,do what u want, feel good !I've had my share of Metallica ,Tool,Pantera and plenty other concerts.Almost every year I go to Rock am Ring,my fav festival ever:DThe key is to have fun,and even if the band performing isn't that great (it can happen) just have a drink;)Trust me,after a few drinks u won't care that much..LOL..Have fun;)don't take things too serious
P.S:I just realized ure going to a fall out boy concert..ewwww.....oh well,in that case,u won't get too wild or hurt...LOL...try going to a metal concert, cause those are what I call REAL concerts..no offence;)anyway enjoy urself

go in every mosh pit you can, theyre fun as h*ll. if u dont like them then dont, but id say try it once, even tho i doubt there are many at fob. if u do tho, PICK PEOPLE UP. but anyway, dont bring anything that u cant lose, unless u have to like a cell phone, but no need for an ipod, etc. dont go by drunk people thatsemm like angry or too wild drunks. stand up, and just get into it. its a great time, and im sure u'll want to go back.
