I have iregular periods so i always think im pregnent and we dont use birth control we use the rythn method but with him doing that and having sex everyday what are the chances of me getting pregant on axcident

by the way i've been with my boyfriend for 12 years nither of us have std's

i read an article in a magazing in my doc's office last appt that said that if a healthy woman and man have unprotected sex regularly for a year, she has an almost 90% chance of getting pregnant..This was a changed number because they used to say it was only 25% chance. Either way, where your periods are not regular the rythem method is not a good choice for you at all. You need to use some kind of protection, condoms if you are worried about the hormones in birth control. If you don't want and can't handle a baby right now it's your job to see it doesn't happen.

Umm yeah... Are you trying to get pregnant? Come on now. And you sholdn't say "What the the chances of me getting pregnant on "accident"" Becuase you and your man decied not to use and protection, it's no where near and accident.

But the chances of getting pregnant with protection are pretty good. Why don't you go down to your local planned parenthood and discuss other options rather then the rythn method? Plus they give out free condoms. And a alright birth control is Depo. So if you were smart, you'd take the advice and check it out.

I'd say they are pretty high. Why in Gods name don't you just get on the pill? Or get the depo shot? If you are embarassed, just imagine how much more embarassing it will be when your pregnant butt gets hemmroids and you have to buy tucks wipes! If you think you can't afford it, imagine how much a kid costs. I'm getting ready to have a kid, and from the looks of it, I'm not going to be able to afford to keep working because child care costs too much and if I pay for it, I won't have enough money left over to buy gas to get to work.
The only reason to not use birth control is if you are trying to conceive.

The chances are very good that you could get pregnant. Since u r not married, your boyfriend should be using condoms to limit the incident of STDs. And why aren't you using your own form of birth control?

Pretty good actually. You really should consider at least using condoms. Maybe you could go on the pill if you don't want to use condoms? Unless you want to have a baby, you're going to need to do something instead of the rhythm method.
