I've been told I am many times, generally in times of horrible stress. I've always believed that if I just keep walking everything will be ok. Also, when those around me are cracking, I always feel like if I lose it to all will be lost. However, sometimes being strong is a burden. It gets really hard to be the one carrying the loads so everyone else will be ok. I'm betting I'm not the only one who has felt this way. Everyone needs at least one person that they can vent their frustrations to. Someone who isn't emotionally involved in the mess at hand. =-)

I don't even try to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders...that's what makes me strong. I take care of my own business and that of my family...if the world creeps in, it's in relation to us and our future. That's it.
Does that mean we don't do our part to stave off "global warming". Not at all. I just don't go around getting myself all in knots about it.
Strength is relative to that which you can handle and a smart person knows the limit.

How do we rate ourselves as a strong person? I often cry myself to sleep, or lock myself in my room to have a "moment" of clarity, but on the other hand I'm a single mother of two boys ages 17 and 10, their dads don't visit, pay, call, write, nothing...it's all me. My mom died when i was 13, my grandparents who raised me have passed in the last few years, i have no one to rely on or depend on or run to if things should happen to go bad. I work full time and volunteer for high school and league sports for both of my boys as well as the american cancer society. I'm strong...stubborn...hard headed...

The weight of the world? Seeing as I'm not a Titan I'll have to put in another couple of hours a week and see how it goes..

Always have had to. People throughout my life have always come to me for advice or assistance, rarely have I ever gone to anyone else.I've always made it through, although I have stumbled occasionally along the way.
