What's the difference between killing a 6 month old infant and a 6 month old fetus? The only thing is you can see one. Or see it this way. You kill your 6 month old baby because it's too much of a responsibilty. Aren't you doing the same for the fetus? They both have a heart, brain, and feel what their mother feels. I'm against abortion only because you are taking away a life that was never given a chance. Yeah if you were raped, assaulted, or got pregnant on 'accident' there is always adoption. HOWEVER if you see that your baby has no chance of surviving in this world, ME PERSONALLY I would go on with it, there could always be that miracle waiting. I would still refuse abortion. In this part, this is where the mothers choice would come in. Don't abort your baby because it's too much work or you decide you don't want 'it'.

I normally am against abortion. But if a woman were told for reasons unknown to her. Her child will be deformed or have terrible health problems. And not because she considers it a burden to have to care for that child. Perhaps all their life. But because she thinks the child will have a hard life do to the health problems. She decides for an abortion. To a certain point I can understand that. I myself under those conditions might consider having one. But then would make sure I was unable to get pregnant again. I would have myself fixed. As it is. I have one child. While pregnant I was very sick. Someone told me what I could do to miscarry. To my way of thinking it wasn't the child's fault. The baby didn't ask to be conceived. I did the best I could during the pregnancy. Had a healthy baby. Had my tubes tied 3 days after. I wasn't going to risk getting pregnant again. And feeling so sick that in a moment of not thinking right. I might do something I'm against.

I only believe in abortion if a woman was raped, incest, or if the mother or baby are compromised during the pregnancy.
My reason for believing such is because when I was little, (about 11), my mom was in collage. She couldn't find a babysitter for me one night so she took me to class with her. The teacher for this medical class played a tape of an abortion being done. It was the most horrifying, disgusting thing I have ever seen. People on death row have far more pleasant deaths than unborn babies who are truly innocents.
Numerous abortions can cause a woman to become infertile, and a lot of women end up with depression after an abortion. If a woman doesn't want the risk of getting pregnant, then she should take the necessary precautions.

Okay, so basically it's murder
Human life, in the form of an ovum and spermatozoon, becomes a human person at the time of conception, so it is murder, it's killing a poor, innocent baby.
It can harm the mother (and does harm the baby)
Children are a gift from God, so why would they want to give that gift back?
The unborn baby is made in the image of God and therefore fully human in God's sight
Exodus 21:22-25.
If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.
The verses appear to teach that if a woman gives birth prematurely, but the baby is not injured, then only a fine is appropriate. However, if the child dies then the law of retaliation should be applied. In other words, killing an unborn baby would carry the same penalty as killing a born baby. A baby inside the womb has the same legal status as a baby outside the womb.
A human being has 46 chromosomes (sometimes 47 chromosomes). Sperm and egg have 23 chromosomes. A trained geneticist can distinguish between the DNA of an embryo and that of a sperm and egg. But that same geneticist could not distinguish between the DNA of a developing embryo and a full-grown human being.
Death used to be defined by the cessation of heartbeat. A stopped heart was a clear sign of death. If the cessation of heartbeat could define death, could the onset of a heartbeat define life? The heart is formed by the 18th day in the womb. If heartbeat was used to define life, then nearly all abortions would be outlawed.
If the cessation of brain wave activity can define death, could the onset of brain wave activity define life? Individual brain waves are detected in the fetus in about 40-43 days. Using brain wave activity to define life would outlaw at least a majority of abortions.
Does the fetus feel pain during abortion? The evidence seems fairly clear and consistent. Consider this statement made in a British medical journal: "Try sticking an infant with a pin and you know what happens. She opens her mouth to cry and also pulls away. Try sticking an 8-week-old human fetus in the palm of his hand. He opens his mouth and pulls his hand away. A more technical description would add that changes in heart rate and fetal movement also suggest that intrauterine manipulations are painful to the fetus."
But in summary, everything, religion, moral, law, medicine...all say, abortion is wrong. It is murder. The unborn fetus IS a baby.

I am against abortion because I believe that as soon as a baby is conceived, it is a person that deserves the same human rights as you and me. I think that if you abort a baby, you are killing somebody, and that is wrong.
Interestingly enough, even though abortion is legal, there are cases where pregnant women have been murdered, and the judge ruled that the killer was guilty of killing two people- the mother and her baby.
Even if you know that a person will have a "deformity" (I'm not quite sure what exactly you mean by that?) , they still have the right to live- it's not somebody else's job to make that decision for them. I have friends who were born having to live in wheelchairs- they are fully functioning, amazing people who go to college and date and have normal lives- it scares me that somebody could have thought they had a right to take that away from them. Even people with more severe problems shouldn't have their right to live taken away by anyone.

I simply believe that every life is a gift and that every person deserves a chance to live. I understand that living with a special needs child can be challenging. My husband and I have three children, two have special needs. Many times, I have been asked if I wonder what my life would be like without them. (By the way the question is more than a little rude. No one would seriously ask that of a typical mom.) I pause and I think of all the challenges but I also consider the happiness my children bring to those around them. In addition, my children are happy. They are physically attractive but if they were deformed would that make them less of a gift. No, I have to say the problem lies not with them, but with us; "typical" people who can't handle the imperfection. I have compassion for those who are frightened by bad news and would never throw a rock at anyone. However, I feel it is the duty of friends, family and society to stand by those who are worried during their pregnancies for ANY reason and help them. I fear that when life is devalued at any stage, be it before birth or after, all our lives are in danger. What about those of us "damaged" during the course of living. Who is worth saving? What if someone can never do anything "useful" again? Should we "waste" our healthcare money on them? I would say that life...All life deserves a chance to live. If a deformed baby is born, we should love and care for it with kindness.

No.1 - so that people such as yourself could be here to ask this question. No.2 - if the decision only involved one person then it could give you something to think about - but because the victim has no say - that's a injustice. No.3 - I know several girlfriends that have had abortions and mentally it has messed their heads up - They thought that they would get over it - and some of them every now and then will mention their abortion and become very sad. With all the junk in our lives - women don't need one more thing to mess with our head. I have yet to be around a man who spoke of sadness over a girlfriend/wife's abortion.
No.4 - It's personal with me - I had a Aunt who died from a botched abortion - because her husband said he didn't want another baby - yet he didn't WRAP it up!!!
Finally - remember Hitler? He was trying to only have a selective race - what a horrible mess that created!!

It's in vitro infanticide. The fetus is indisputably a human fetus and the genetic makeup is determined at the moment of conception. That makes it an individual. So from conception it's individuated and human, ergo a human being. It doesn't matter whether you kill a baby inside or outside the womb; either way,it's just as dead, and by human agency. A million Americans die this way every year,an unprecedented carnage. It makes the Holocaust look like a mere exercise. Jewish people started pushing for it in the worst way back in the '60's and they got their way. Under Jewish law,a fetus is not human until there is discernible movement, which typically occurs around the end of the first trimester. Until then under Jewish law it is "inert" and therefore non-human and disposable. Roe v. Wade is a carbon copy of a Talmudic ruling from 1473. You would think this would be a clear violation of separation of church and state but since WW2 our government only applies that to Christianity.

I feel that we make choices in our lives and in turn we must live with the decisions we make, there are so many ways to prevent pregnancy in the first place I dont see how so many abortions are performed. Plus I think life is a great thing and I feel any child conceived should at least be given the opportunity to experience what we have been so fortunate to experience. When a life ends, thats it, they dont get another shot.

because i have seen so many videos of what happens to a child after abortion. i don't know about you but seeing children the size of coins with their limbs ripped off swimming in their own blood just isn't right. its just not blood and jelly, it is in the form of a grown child. its horrible. and i once saw one where the child had to be a few months along because it was close to the size of a new born. and then watching the doctor wrap its body up in paper then dump it in the trash was just wrong. i cant stand when teenage girls say "oh its my body i can do what i want with it" because its not their body, its the body of an innocent baby thats getting killed.
