I just started my period this morning and it is a dark brown color. My last pap smear (2 months ago) was normal, and I haven't done anything new or different since then. Is this a normal occurence?

That is just old blood. Completely normal. ALOT of women get it at the beginning (or end) of their periods.

yeah, i guess its normal! (from what everyone else said!) i just started my second period this morning and all the blood is brown too. good luck!

this is completly normal, when the period first starts, its a dark colour, and as you get older and have more and more, they get lighter
heck, im on mine right now, its pretty dark
