I live in Chelsea and my mom is coming up this weekend so we are looking for a good place to go. I know there is a good one in Nahant and on the way to Nahant. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Jimmy's Harborside has been torn down.

If you want seafood on the waterfront, just steps from Faneuil Hall, go to:

Legal Seafoods Long Wharf
255 State Street
Boston, MA 02109

Phone: 617.742.5300
Fax: 617.523.0512

Mon-Sat 11:00 am - 11:00 pm
Sunday Noon - 11:00 pm

I'm not a huge fan of Legal Seafoods. However, I have not been to this location, but have heard it is superb. Reservations are accepted and advised since it is in a tourist area.

Without a doubt, Anthony's Pier 4, on Northern Ave in Boston.

Anthony's is a great restaurant. The service is great, the food is very tasty, the fish is fresh, and the rolls are awesome! Also, if you're in the North End, go to Antico Forno (sp?). The best Italian restaurant in the world!

Jimmy's Harborside
Anthony's Pier 4
Barking Crab (outside dining on picnic tables...great in summer)
Joes's Waterfront
Umbria (upscale dining, Italian themed and nightclub, in case you get tired of the seafood)
and of course Legal Seafood
*****
Jimmy's has been torn down? ??? What a shame! I haven't been so saddened since they tore down Mama Leone's in NY.

Finz in Salem is right on the waterfront, and is very good seafood. http://www.hipfinz.com/

If you're going to head into town, then I'd recommend No Name Restaurant. http://boston.citysearch.com/profile/4770704/boston_ma/no_name_restaurant.html

Most of the waterfront restaurants in town are essentially tourist traps, but No Name is a no frills, great seafood joint.

Anthony's unfortunately has gone down hill, and they still charge outrageous prices. Not worth it in my opinion.
