I'm Italian and my brothers have THE most awesome Italian names - Dominic and Anthony, do you like those? If I had twin boys...*sigh*. But back to you. You can get creative and "Italianize" a lot of American names. For example: Alexander can become Alessandro. Side note: since it's your first son, how about Primo for the middle name?

Part two - I thought about this for the last couple of hours; what do you think of Rocco?

For girls, I like the Italian names Clara, Isabella, Angelina and I kinda like the name Siena (I wish an Italian name would go with my last name :( )

Edit: I just realized you said you were 95% sure it's a boy.... how do you know?

I like Antonio a lot for a boy

You may be "Italian" but if you live in the US, you are American.

My husband ALMOST had a problem with his name. His father's family is Italian. "Grandma" wanted to have him named "Armando Egidio." UGH! His mom won out with "Armand Edward."

Ethnic names can be OK but be careful. Remember, kids at school can be really cruel. If the child has are "unique" name you are just giving them ammunition to harass your sweet child.

I've always liked Gino for a boy. It's a cute little Italian name, and it'll sound good as a baby and an adult. Or how about Marco.
