Don't worry. Hornets are gentle giants and very docile. However, having said that, a trapped hornet may get agitated so open all the windows and doors in your house and just relax. That hornet would much rather not go anywhere near you. I know they are scary looking, but they are not mean.

If it really is HUGE... then it may not be harmful. The large ones tend to eat insects. Open the blinds and windows, so it can see the light and so it will head for the window.

I wouldn't worry about it, open all the windows and I expect that it'll find it's own way out. If you do see it don't panic.

Why do you want to find it? What if it finds you? Ouch!
Just pretend nothing ever happened.

keep looking for it because there might be a nest .or it might have just came in by your window and wanted to go outside.

Unlike everyone else here, I won't be irritible. Just forget about it, it's not that important, and it probably won't bother you.
