I keep up with the show by reading updates of the 23/7 feeds. What is the purpose of the various lockdowns? I understand they keep them in the house when banners fly overhead but what is the point for all of the other ones?

Recently, most of the lockdowns are to keep the houseguests inside while the banners fly overhead. But otherwise, the lockdowns are just so the producers and crew can set up things in the house, remove things, switch things around, etc. And there are also lockdowns before competitions so the producers and crew can set up without been seen by the houseguests. Before the inside lockdowns the houseguests are asked to close the shades or blinds to the door leading outside so they can't peek outside. And sometimes they have to stay in a specific room. Today, everyone was summoned to go to the HOH room because there were ants all over the counter, and the producers needed to come and exterminate or fix the problem somehow. And a lot of people who watch the 24/7 feeds think that the producers are trying to keep the houseguest all together so Dick and Daniele don't have time to persuade people to vote Eric out. It's assumed that the producers don't want America's Player to leave yet. Amber said something about her Diary Room session and how the producers kept telling her to keep Eric in so many words.

They have lockdowns to set up for HoH, Power Of Veto, and food competitions. And like, you said, the banner planes.

Well anytime the producers need to enter the house to do various things they have to be locked down. Like today I think they were spraying for bugs in the kitchen forcing everyone up to the HOH room.

I think they are in lockdown to set up for the HOH tonight...also the live feed watchers suspect that they are trying to keep the HG's all together so they don't have time to talk privately to each other because the DR people are trying to sway the vote so that Eric stays. I think that stinks because Eric is a real turd and doesn't deserve to stay in the house after all of the crap he pulled this week.

I wish they would have made them go in the house when the plane flew over that said Eric and Amber are liars! That totally put Eric as America Player in jeopardy.
