Because redheads have a mutated gene thus there red hair and the introdution of black genes would make the child extra frail and would have a short life expectancy........

He says this is 100% true and non racist but actual genetics.....

I am not sure if he said that because I like this redhead at work or because he is trying to be helpful.........even though it is hurtful......

He said black men should have kids with blondes or brunnets....

Does hair color do anything with pregancy in the first place and does it affect interracial relationships with black guys?

Actually, redheads DO have a gene mutation, it is called melanocortin 1 - receptor. It is what makes our skin fair, as well as our hair the reddish hues. HOWEVER I have never read anything that would make me think that a child conceived of a redheaded person and a person with lots of melanin ("black") would produce a child more frail than any other combination of people (unless, like, I suspect may be the case w/ your so called white friend, where the 2 individuals are closely related - the offspring in that instance might not be too great) In fact, the MORE diverse the gene pools, I would suspect the stronger the offspring. Not that redheads and blacks are necessarily from hugely different genetic backgrounds. I mean I believe I recall the difference between the darkest skinned black person and the whitest of white people is like .6% that's POINT 6 percent. Less than 1% a bit over 1/2 of a %. So not like there is some huge difference between what we erroneously term 'the races'. Mostly it is cosmetic. Also the .6% difference can be seen in 2 white folks just from very different ancestral backgrounds... so not as if we're that different even if we do/do not look the same.

My guess is the same as someone who found this and replied some time ago, I think your "friend" is just trying to eliminate potential competition. So YES redheads have a genetic mutation, NO it should NOT make the offspring weaker.

Of course not. Hair color doesnt mean anything except that that is the color of the hair. Not frail or anything like that.
Most redheads are very fair skinned and most have freckles but again, that is all associated with pigment (color) not the bone mass.

No I am a redhead and there is nothing mutant about any of my genes and I don't think black men have anything mutant about them, but your white friend sounds like an idiot!

I think he got his information mixed up in biology class. The gene that causes a person's hair to be red is a retarded blonde gene. This is a fact. It's actually a blonde gene, that has a mix up somewhere. Sorry, but biology has been a few years back, but this was just so bizarre that I remembered it. That has NOTHING to do with the person though, or their offspring. Your're friend is the one that's retarded.

This is my guess: Your friend knows this redhead too and he thinks she's cute. He's just trying to get rid of the competition.

Good grief. Perhaps you should consider choosing better friends, with a little more education.

Where in the hell did your friend hear a thing like that? I've never heard that before. I really don't think that there is any truth whatsoever to it.

Your friend is full of it. No, hair color has nothing to do with the pregnancy or the child's health!
