I believe that u should be assertive enough to ask questions when u need to, or even jus outa curiosity. On the other hand it's a virtue to be able to listen. Have u ever spoken to someone and noticed that they were lookin somewhere else & clearly not listening? I find this very "un"classy. That not only invalidates ur point but it shows that this person has no interest in u or what ur saying........How Ruuude!

Listen... I don't give any advice unless I am specifically asked for some... saves a lot of time and hard feelings.

I think both.

But if you are going to give advice...be sure you know what you are talking about and make sure you give good advice. Sometimes it can be better to just listen to the person and be there for them.

Just listen. Most of the time that's what they want you to do. They just need someone that will listen. They need to get it out.

It is always good to give an advice, so it is always good to hear one too. Although , when I think about, sometimes I and anyone else, don't want to hear advices, because it can get boring:)
