just in case you haven't noticed kirk herbstriet is a moron. he picked osu last year in the title game, and usc in the year before that. The man has a history of being an idiot. I ain't nothing against your Gators personally. In fact I'd say they're probably a fav to go back to the championship game, just don't put too much stock into what herby has to say.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Florida State is ranked inside the top 10 every single preseason? Not only that, but they barely hang on to a top 25 spot by seasons end. Kirk Herbstreit is without a doubt my favorite college football analyst. I think he is completely unbiased and the best there is. But I can't agree with Florida State. If a non-SEC team wins the National Title, I think you have to look at teams like Oklahoma or Oregon. I wouldn't pick FSU in a million years.

As a Gator fan and alumni, I wish he didn't say that, seeing as he was wrong on just about everything Florida last season.
I agree with him though. Tebow is going to be incredible. Everyone's skeptical because he rushed last year when he went in most of the time. Understand people, Leak was our starting quarterback and Tebow was the backup AND a Freshman. Look what he accomplished in his Freshman year alone. Everyone keeps overlooking all the PASSING records Tebow broke in highschool. I know college is a different level, but from what I've heard about Tebow in practice so far is that he's throwing bullets as accurately as Leak did. He's going to be a double threat and a force to be reconned with. Though Florida's team is young and they lost a lot of players, they have recruited a group of fast, incredible ball players. Combining that with the quickness of our returning offensive players, I wouldn't be surprised to see us repeat. The only team I feel sits in our way is LSU.
By the way FIGHT ON!, his end zone jump pass was a throw back play meant to look like that. The only part that made it ugly was Caldwell tripping over his feet in the endzone. Besides that, the play was run to perfection. He didn't even travel. 6 points!

I have no beef with Tebow, but he still has alot to prove in the passing game. If Florida makes it to the SEC Title (and BCS title game) then he will definitely deserve the award, but I think that's a stretch. Florida is talented and deep, but they are young at some of the key positions. I can see Tebow having a good year, but I want to see him throwing some passes on a consistent basis before I call him the SEC MVP.

Tim Tebow who? im sorry went is he relevant to the top college player, last year he was in on trick play, and teams know it too. Lets see if he can lead a team and read defense and make the necessary play so his team can win. for that OSU bias Kirk Herbstreit to say Tim is the MVP of the SEC is a bit of a reach. He's a rookie QB, he deserve nothing yet, McFadden is the real MVP. But any way Tebow or McFadden, it's still USC year baby. Fight On! Fight on to Victory.

Yes, and keep in mind that Herbstreit also picked Tennessee to be national champion last year.
All this preseason crap is just so much BS. Personally, I don't pay any attention to anything anybody says or writes until about the fifth game of the season for everyone. That way the big schools have already played their "thump-a-chump" tuneup games and are a couple of games into the conference schedule.

KH is a joke! the man would pick OH ST to beat the Colts!!!!!
he is the most biased "analyst" in college football. with Corso right behind...but this is irrelevant to your question.
anyway, to answer (in response to)your question...i dont think anyone "hates" Tebow nor am i jealous. id take Booty over Tebow any day of the week. i think its more of an issue concerning the fact that TT hasnt ran an offense in a year. and the last time he did run an offense he was a man among boys...now hes surrounded by every other man who was among boys in HS and its time for him to prove himself. last year how many times did he drop back, read a D and find the open man??? not often...when he did pass, it wasnt always pretty (remember his end zone jump shot pass?) i think hell be a great QB by next year maybe even at the end of this year...but i woudlnt say hes the best QB in the SEC going into the season...
McFadden will be the SEC MVP and most likely the Heisman winner as well.

Umm I think he means LSU and Fl in the SEC championship which could happen but Im thinking Auburn might put a end to one of their dreams. Im pretty sure 2 sec teams cant play in the national championship not to mention it would be hard to have two other teams in there with WVU already playing

Oh my God! If Kirk Freakin Herbstreit said it than its a done deal. Cancel the season everyone! Kirk Herbstreit said that Florida and LSU are gonna play in the Championship game. There is no longer a reason for anyone else to play.

Because he gets so much hype a player to could not beat Chris Leak. I agree Tebow will be good, but lets see him do more than a QB Draw before we hand him the Heisman.
