Assuming I have about 900 ft2, all flatwork, and they have to tear out the old concrete, and pour the new. By the way I live in colorado, but I would be curious to see what other people have paid (recently) in any areas.

You need to know cubic feet. How thick is your pad?

I had a pad poured last year. 6 inches thick 300 sqft cost $1800. I had 3 quotes...ranging from $1800 to $3500.

In the NE i would expect to pay

$1000 for demolition and removal of the old concrete
$500 for crushed stone and to spread it evenly
$110 / cubic yard for concrete
estimate 10 yards x $110 = $1100 4 inches deep
$ 700 for labor to build forms and do the pour
add 250 if you want a machine finish

My next door neighbor in Cincinnati, OH, does concrete work, and he says the prices vary pretty widely, depending on demand in your area. He redid part of our driveway and added footers to our patio so we could turn it into a room, and we paid him a total of $2400, including his labor and the cost of concrete. He gave us a break on his labor costs, since we are neighbors. The contractor who built the addition for us agreed we got a good deal, but I've forgotten what the final cost per square foot was now. When my husband gets home, I'll ask him if he remembers.

about $6.50 to $7, or more depending on how far from the street you are or if you have to wheel barrow up hill.
