I want to get my bf a boat cover for his bday, but I know NOTHING about them. I want it to be a good one, what is good???

well custom made is the best but the things you have to think about are, do you want a cover that he can keep on the boat when he is towing it, a little exspensive or just a cover to keep on it at the house, cheaper. after you have that answered then you can look around your area and see whats offered.

Generally you can find boat covers that will fit any size boat. I have a 14' allumicraft and bought the best available ($50) cover at the local W-mart last year and it did not last. I know that they sell some good ones through the Overtons catalog. overtons.com?
I believe that you get what you pay for in this arena.

Go to Bass Pro store and tell them the length and the width of the boat at the widest area, and the style of boat..bass boat, pleasure boat, aluminum fishing boat or even give them a brand name and model #. they have then in stock for most style and size boats. You can also check them out online at basspro.com.
