really nothing that you can b attached to, with predators u mut expect that anything you add in there will be eatten.
My RBPs will not tolerate another fish except a pacu.
But plated catfish are really safe to go with, like plecos. Holpo catfish and porthole catfishes are smaller, but have been kept with RBPs in the past.
Larger tanks like in public aquariums have ben able to house other fishes due to the fact of shear tanksize+wellfeed RBPs.
Remember the mother natures energy law. That a predator that is well feed wont waste more energy then it can gain. Ex. A full grown full RBP will not waste energy to catch a small neon tetra, which will give the fish very little energy in return.
But that is just to show you that it can be done, but only by professionals in piblic aquariums.

RE:
Tank mates for Red Belly Piranhas?
I have 2 Red Belly Piranhas (aproximatly 7-9 inches each)and a Pleco (10 inches) in a 75 gallon tank that i have had with no real problems for more than 2 years. I am wondering if there are any suitable and tankmates for the piranhas. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Any slow moving fish like large Tetras (Congo Tetras are good) are good. Hyperactive fish will stress the Piranhas and make them aggressive. Also, avoid most Cichlids as they will be too aggressive for the Piranhas (except maybe some Ram Cichlids or Apistos). For more help with compatibility, check out the link in my profile.

EDIT: Goldfish are coldwater fish and will do poorly in a tropical tank. They also may be seen as food, leading to parasites transmitted from prey to predator.

Hi, Sorry to inform you that the only good tank mates for Piranhas are other Piranhas.
