To answer this question you must know what Pivot is-the stick figure animator.

On YouTube there are numerous Pivot animations with sound behind them-how is it done-if there are more than one give me them all (well, all that you can be bothered to do ;-))and I'll chose the easiest for me personally based on time, effort and programs I have.

cheers

I found this tutorial that explains it all. There is a second one too. Available after this one has played.

Have fun.

Well...I'm not a computer genius, but I am familiar with Pivot. A lot of people are using Pivot and Windows Movie Maker to create the stick figure videos.

To save as an animated GIF: (Using Pivot 2.2.5. Pivot 3 Beta should be similar, except for slight variations in the gif options dialog box)

1. Open your .piv file in Pivot.

2. On the Pivot menu bar: File -> Save animation...name the file, and in the 'save as type' dropdown box: GIF (*.gif)

3. In the 'GIF Options': deselect 'merge' and 'palette', change 'frame delay' to 6 and 'shrink frames' to 2. (experiment with the last two)

4. Click 'OK'. Now you've got an animated GIF version of the pivot animation.

To edit the animated GIF file in Windows Movie Maker:

1. Open Windows Movie Maker (WMM) and import the gif file (Movie Task Pane -> Import Pictures). Import audio and music. Experiment with the different controls and settings.

2. Save the project file: File -> Save Project -> name the file. (it'll have the .MSWMM file extension and is a file you can modify in WMM)

3. Now save it as a .wmv file:
a. File -> Save Movie File -> My Computer -> name the file and choose where you want the video saved--click next.

b. Make sure 'Best quality for playback on computer' is selected--click next. Movie is now saved as a .wmv file and ready for uploading to sites such YouTube and MySpace.

Hope this helps :)
