The sockets used to work; after an accident on the passenger side and some body repair the fuse keeps blowing. Maybe a wire is shorting? If so how would I find it? I don't have a wiring schematic.

well you could look for the trouble all day lng and may never find it. easier fix, replace the wire. you can get some wire and a fuse holder and wire it directly to the fuse box on the key side or wire it to the battery, problem solved, a good mechaninc should charge less than $50 to do this or bring him the parts, a 12 pk of his favorite beer and work a trade

A short in the wiring, likely after an accident. Trace the wire from the fuse.

There is a short. Tack it back to the body shop for them to chase down.
