harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban because it was very close to the book (maybe even the closest). It also had a lot of action and had a dark theme to it.

1. Alright, but that isn't really how I imagined Lupin. No offense intended, but he looks a bit like Hitler. 2. YUCK! Richard Harris was SO much better. Michael Gambon makes Dumbledore look like a short-tempered old creep - especially with the random shouting. Sorry, but I hate Movie Dumbledore. 3. Prisoner of Azkaban. Although it didn't follow the book as closely as the first two movies, I generally loved it. 4. Order of the Phoenix! That was a complete and utter mess! Worst movie adaptation of a book ever, in my honest opinion. I apologize if you liked it, but that movie was dreadful and irrelevant. 5. The Marauders' Map. NOTHING was explained about that. As much as I liked that movie, I think the only reason I wasn't mislead was because I'd read the book. Also, WHO THE HELL IS NIGEL? 6. He's OK. In some of the movies, especially, the earlier ones, he's better at being Harry. Some things do tend to annoy me, like the eye and hair color, and the ever-changing hairstyles. Overall, he's fine. 7. LOL. Yeah, I noticed that. It's funny. Especially when she's mad or panicking. 8. I love the ones who I think portray the characters the best. Therefore, my favorites are Rupert Grint, Alan Rickman and Evanna Lynch, who make the perfect Ron, Snape and Luna! 9. Hmm...Michael Gambon. 10. Nope. :D

harry potter 3
i agree that it was closet to the book and Alfonso Cuaron was the best director for the films
i think the later ones can't fit such long books into the films so bits are left out, making the first 3 the best, in particular harry potter 3

Hmm...hard question - i LOVE the Order of the Phoenix (i've seen it 4 times, lol). It's such a great film - passion, adventure, crazy lady in pink outfits (haha).
But seriously, I think every film gets better and better and HP5 really gives such insight to the characters, even though there is so much that has to be cut out from the novels. I also loved the Prisoner of Azkaban...awesome film! I love Sirius Black...sniff, so sad! So many twists and turns - I thought it was done brilliantly! Can't wait for the next one!!

tough question...my kids are slightly younger than the main characters in the movies-so it's been fun watching everybody grow up...the first two movies had that Wizard of Oz magical feeling about them and I believe are underrated by most critics... each movie has gotten a little darker since...while I've loved every book, if I had to pick one film to watch it would be The Prisoner of Azkaban which was both true to the book and and could stand on its own as a both scary and magical piece of cinema.

I liked the first one best. Watching Harry learn he is a wizard and seeing him finally come to grips with how his world is about to change.

The like the fifth movie because it is a much darker movie and much more action filled which I think is much different than the previous films.
