Yes, you can't go a city block without seeing a tree-hugger or getting a nauseating whif of patchoulli.
On the other hand, there are a lot of yuppies too, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a house under 600k.

I agree with the person who said it's more full of athletes and outdoorsy types. Overall, the permanent population (CU students aside) is affluent, liberal and very well educated.

I used to live there, and yes, it is full of potheads, but i dont care, i love it anyways!!!!!!!!1 I actually recently moved from Lafayette, CO to El Centro, CA. big waether difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's more filled with athletes- runners, bikers, kayakers, hikers, climbers, skiers, etc.

If you're a stoner, you'll find stoners to hang with, but not everyone is. Coming from SoCal, you should be fine finding people who are like you.
