sometimes at night i hear my attic creaking, but very rarely. my house is pretty new, about 14 or 15 years old i think. i have told my mom once be4, but she just ignored me.

i also heard a banging in my brother's room a while ago, then it happened again. sometimes my brother kicks the wall in his sleep, but this was loud and he is a skinny 11 year old.

uhhh, what is this?

of course there are no ghosts or boogie men....all wooden furniture and floors tend to creak at night, this is like breathing ... sounds are amplified at night coz it's all quite so it's OK 2 feel afraid... but u don't have too...i live in a room and i hear creaks night and day...so don't worry...

Houses do settle, and I know that my son has always kicked the walls during sleep. Sounds become so amplified at night when all is quiet.

It's the boogie man...well, it could be. Or maybe it is just the house settling. You said it was a new home.
