I think they will be one of the top two teams in the AFC. I do not think that Norv was the right guy for the job. Marty deserves to still be in San Diego. I do not think that the team will fail under Norv this season. It is pretty much the same team in San Diego. The current players will still be playing the way they were taught by Marty.

I see them going at least 12 and 4 to take the AFC West. The tough games will be:
Chicago @ SD
@ New England
@ Denver
@ Kansas City
Indy @ SD
Baltimore @ SD
@ Jacksonville
I figure they'll lose 3 of those games and 1 to a patsy (maybe even the Raiders - the Chargers sometimes play down to their opponents).
Philip Rivers will have a better season than last year. In 2006, they coddled him for the first half of the year. When he proved himself, they turned him loose a bit more. Look for him to have about 25 TDs and about 3500 yards.
LT will have a good season, but not even close to last year. I'd say about 22 TDs and over 2000 all-purpose yards.
Gates will be Gates (10 TDs, 1000 yards).
Look for Vincent Jackson to have a breakout season. He was coming on strong at the end of last year. And, with Eric Parker out for the first half of the season with a bad toe and McCardell gone, Jackson will be the #1 WR.
The defensive front 7 will perform about the same. But, the secondary will pick it up a lot this year. Look for a lot more picks and shut-downs by the secondary.
I like the Norv Turner hire. He basically designed last year's offense, so there's a lot of continuity. And, Cam Cameron was far too predictable or made bad choices (like holding LT back in the second half of some games, and running him up the middle for little or no gain when everyone saw that coming).
I expect San Diego to make the playoffs and win at least one game. If they stay healthy, they have the talent to make a run for the Super Bowl.

Well I reckon they wont quite have the 14-2 record they had last year to be honest the real guy to watch out for this year is Wide Reciever Vincent Jackson he is the guy all of the NFL analyzers are saying is going to break out this year as far as LT is conserned I cant see him repeating the MVP season he had last year but I still reckon he will have about 1,300 yards and 10 TD's at the end of it all.
My views on Norv Turner are simple great coach but San Diego should never have fired Marty Schotenheimer in the first place he took San Diego from the worst team in the NFL in 2002 to 14-2 last year and I think that this will affect the teams mentality this year.
My Final Predictions
Record 11-5
Playoffs: Divisional Round
Team Sleeper: Vincent Jackson
Best Player: Well isnt it obvious LT

I think Turner was a decent choice for what they are looking to accomplish which is not reinvent the wheel but take a very talented team and go the next step. I think all Chargers fans would agree it's certainly not an exciting choice, but not necessarily a bad one. As far as breakout seasons I think Vincent Jackson might have one with Eric Parker going down and the rest of the receiving corps being so inexperienced. All the attention, as usual, will be on LT and Gates so it's a good opportunity for Rivers to establish a #1 wideout.
I see the record at 12-4 (losses at New England, at Denver, Baltimore and at KC)...then a trip to the Super Bowl where I hate to say I think the Saints will beat them.

I think they will make it to the AFC championship game but lose to New England (again). Norv was a good choice because Marty wasn't winning games in the playoffs which is essential to being Superbowl champs. 13-3 will be their record being the 2nd seed in the playoffs. as for players breaking out I say one of their wide receivers (besides their tight end antonio gates) will be the biggest surprise by actually catching more and getting more yards than gates.

The Chargers are returning the same personnel but I don't expect them to go 14-2 again. Based on the strength of their schedule I would predict 13-3 or 12-4. I don't think a trip to the Super Bowl is outside the realm of possibilities.

They should do better or equal to last year.
Biggest changes were to coaching staff. Gates, Rivers, LT are givens to produce but Vincent Jackson finally brings talent to a WR along with Rookie Craig Davis. Ron Rivera, Bears D-Coordinator, joins the staff and the defense will improve even more. Biggest question is secondary, but Cromartie in his second year could help that.
Their Division is weak and i see them going 7-1 in their division at the very least. Come on they play the lowly raiders and Chiefs 4 times.
Should be the most exciting team to watch again this year!!!!!!!!!
GO BOLTS!!!!!!

Norv was the wrong choice. A retread coach who has no previous success is very unlikely to provide the kind of stability that they had with Schottenheimer previously. I would compare this to a similar situation in Dallas with Wade Phillips coming in.

they are going to the playoffs, i think they will go 12-4. Like always tomlinson is going to get better, and the qb who i cant remember right now is going to have the breakout year. They will probaly make 2 round. It doesnt matter that much about the coach to much, because they are one of the top 5 talented teams

I looked at their schedule & they should go around 13-3. They have the best RB in the game today by far & a very solid defense. If their coaching staff doesn't mess up then they should be a front runner for the Super Bowl along with New England & Indianapolis.
