This is a survey, because I have decided to just keep busy and forget it. Anything you found useful in overcoming the grief is interesting!

Any long term aquaintence..wasn't really a friendship at all if something got in the way of it causing it to end. I was where you were and was confused for a bit until I "got a clue" and realized it wasn't what I thought it was in the first place.
So, I moved on. I work on myself and what I think of "me". You know...the old..."if you're at peace with yourself you aren't going to be dwelling on others" thing? Well, that's how I get over stuff like this. And I get over it very well! (((-:

(And personally, I find rebound acquaintences to be toxic. They only are "friends" when they need you.)

you know?? it's almost like when you re in love and you just broken up...times 10...i lost what i thought was a great friend..and then he turned on me because of envious issues...so the best thing is to try and stay busy not to think about it...and then time will let you know when to see him/she again to make closure...try not to rush it...it does take time to heal..but eventually it does...

I agree with you, but making new friends is also helpful, even if they are just "rebound friends" lol
