Donate them. Drop off a handful at some doctor's offices, free clinics, womens' shelters, homeless shelters, etc.
Depending on the topic of the magazines, donate them to local schools. Some classes can use magazines about money, politics, culture, etc. These would be mostly junior and senior high classes.

Either a recycling drive or a 'swap-meet' and people pay a tiny amount to bring or take mags. Or would any be of interest to the librarian at the hospital (assuming you have a hospital library)?

The magazine drive is a good idea. Another good idea would be if you know of anyone who does some scrapbooking you can give some of the magazines to them so that person can see if there's some things they could use for their scrapbooks.

You can use them for scrapbooking or decorating composition books. Just cut out the bold words and some of the cute pics.
Its amazing the stories you can create with magazine clippings. If you want it to be funny you can cut out heads and paste them on different bodies.

I donate my old mags to my local library, they sell them. Also depending on the mateial found in the mags, you can give them to a local school to read and use for projects. Good luck with your situation.
