Well, conduction would be like your stove-top heating up a pan. Convection would be something like an airconditioner in your car blowing cool air into the cab. And radiation could simply be the sun causing this friggin heat wave in the south and southeast.

When you put a kettle on stove, the heat is conducted to the water in the kettle by conduction, the water inside attains a fairly uniform temperature by convection (you can see convection currents if you observe the liquid carefully) and you can feel the heat of the flame or the electrical stove because of radiation.
