ahh the question of our lifetime, the answer is we truly still do not know

Space is not endless, nobody knows what existed before the big bang. Time and space began with the expansion of the big bang and space is expanding into nothing. The tearing effect you are talking about is what some people call, 'The Big Rip', they are referring to to the collapse of the universe, if that ever happens. You ask some good questions, read all the answers and you will learn something if you can separate the wheat from the chaff.

These are deep questions that take a lot more space than I have here to address. So, let me just say a couple of things to get you started...

First, space is endless because we believe it may have a recursive geometry (but in more than 3-d space). That means, sort of like the Earth, if you go off in one direction and keep on going, eventually you'll end up where you started. Space, in other words, appears to be "closed" like the Earth's surface...doubling back on itself. (sort of).

Second, at the point of the Big Bang, you have to remember that all space AND TIME were at a single point. So, the big bang happened--from our limited perspective--everywhere. So, space isn't expanding into anything, it's space itself that's expanding.

As to the "tearing effects" - I believe you must be referring to the big "dark energy" mystery? Simplified, the idea is that the universe expanded beyond some energy-density threshold and the resulting "rip or tear" has resulted in a accelerating force that's speeding-up the expansion. We don;t know much about this yet...at all. We have verified observations that the acceleration IS happening, but we still need to do some super-high-energy experiments to test our ideas about why this happened. These will be done at CERN on the new LHC (atom smasher) in Switzerland during the next few years.

That's WTF it means. But, as I've said, it's a new idea and we're still collecting data and needing to perform these new experiments. Be patient.. REAL science takes time.

Cheers, dude.

God is attributed with so many weird powers that if you axiomatically accept God you can answer all questions of this type by simply stating that God is beyond time by definition. Now what exactly does that mean? Nothing. But it is a logical consequence of the idea of God: an omni-present, all-knowing entity that is beyond space and time that can create quadrillions of galaxies by his wish. Once you define God in that way then all such questions become answerable. Why does a benevolent God torture sinners for the whole eternity? Answer: Because God moves in mysterious ways. This is why the first thing a Christian must have is Faith: Faith is exactly the total acceptance of the axiom of God. Once you accept that you can create beautiful excuses that defy logic no matter what is the question.

There was a little spot in the Domain of our Creator .
On that little spot He created the substance of space which is quite a finite volume and out of that volume He must have formed the Substance of mass(The basic mass of light was the first Unique micro mass structure)Out of the basic mass structure He created the components of all the atoms in the Universe. Then He must have formed them in to Suns(Stars and galaxies) And what was left over He created even a smaller dot=the earth. And on the Earth He created another very small mass structure (the Human body) Then He performed a great miracle ; He gave life to that structure.
Its true an I am here to prove it.I have life inside of me.
That is all of what can be explained in simple terms conscerning the substance of the Heavens and the substance of the Earth. We cannot talk about the expansion of the Universe because the Universe is a finite constricted structure with definte boundaries.
I hope you like the explanation.

Our three spatial dimensional, gravity wrapped, universe exists as a torus, tied to an eleven dimensional manifold, floating on the surface of a 273,645 dimensional inverse void.

Before there was space there was non-space filled with multi dimensional membranes interacting with each other in a random and chaotic manner. (Actually they still do we just can't see them.) It was a collision of these membranes that created the situation causing the rapid unfolding of our universe. Outside is meaningless as there is no real outside and no real inside to our universe. The Universe itself is actually meaningless and will one day fade from existence, but not for another hundred billion, trillion years.

I'm sorry, there are no answers to your questions here, at least nothing I can come up with. It all reminds me of the following story, though:

The Lone Ranger and Tonto were lying under the stars in their sleeping bags one night when the Lone Ranger turned to Tonto and asked him what he thought all those stars and celestial bodies above them meant to him.

"Well, Keemosabe," he replied, "It means we do not have the first inkling of what is out there beyond our world and there is much Man has yet to explore. It also brings to mind a question I have, which is, why would God create all that and only put life on this one little planet..."

"It means to me," the Lone Ranger said, "That someone has stolen our tent."

Space is like an empty room.It is a lot of nothing The universe is bunch of things like gallaxies and stars which fills up space like furniture fills up a room.

These questions have no meaning in the physical sense. There were no laws of physics before there were laws of physics. So make up anything you want to (as many religions have done) or believein the Simpsons view of the beginning of the Universe.

Basically space is nothingness. Nothing was nothing before it was nothing, get it?

Of course there are a few random particles dispersed throughout open space, but you get the picture.

that is waht everyone wants to know but we don't know yet. and it was called the big bang.

my guess is that space is like a globe what is getting bigger and bigger and will eventually burst again ( the big bang) and life will start all over again.
