No. Those are separate products.
With XP Pro, you get Wordpad and Notepad - both basically worthless.

No, they are to seperate products but they have similar names.
IE: Microsoft Windows XP Pro
and Microsoft Office (Year Number) Pro.
Most computers have office on a trial version. Try the trial and if you like it, buy it. Although it is pretty costly. Don't waste your time on Office 2007, get 2003 and it will do the job.

Windows Xp Professional is the operating system, it comes with programs like notepad and wordpad, very basic typing editors. Microsoft Office is a suite of advanced programs for typing formal documents, spreadsheets, creating presentations, creating databases, etc. They are two different softwares offered by the same manufacturer. Just as there are multiple different operating systems, there are multiple different business productivity suites.

No. It's a seperate program and must be purchased seperately or come preinstalled on your machine... If you just want word, excel and powerpoint a good bet is the teacher/student version which sells for under 150... http://www.academicsuperstore.com/market/marketdisp.html?PartNo=784460
If you want a free option try the freeware Open Office which reads and creates MS Office format files.

There usually is a link on your desktop to use a trial then have to purchase.
not sure if the current level of office is compatible.
you would have to probably get it online.
should be discounted since the new one is out.
however microsoft has a limit on how long they support past products.

No. They do not come bundled together (on the install CD). You must purchase Office separately.

It depends on the package you purchased but it does not include it by default. Cheers!
