Of course. You can always change your phone. A contract only consist of the features and air time that you have for your phone, not the style of phone.

yea, you can get a new phone, but with verizon, you actually have to pay full retail price, which is usually 150 and higher. I would just stick with your phone until you get a upgrade reduced price at the end of your contract.

Depends on how close you are to being up. My husband's phone started giving him problems. He had 1 month to go on his new contract. They gave him a refurb, which lasted 1 week. He called them back and when she said "May I help you", he said you might want to get a supervisor. Your going to need one. After negotiating back and forth, he got his new phone before his contract was up.. But I think you have to have problems with your phone and be close to the end of your contract.

yes you can get a new phone, they just transfer your old number to the new phone, no new contract needed.

as for any special deals and 'free' phones that is almost always for new customers to lure them into a long term contract.

You can get a new phone anytime you like. You won't get the big time discount like you'd get with a new contract though.
