does anyone know of senior citzen programs in houston on the northwest side

In addition to the places already mentioned, I would ask you to visit a Senior Center. These are located all over the U.S. and have programs of all types specifically for Seniors. This includes referrals, game rooms, libraries (in some), job search (in some), just all kinds of things. Many have congregate lunches for Seniors at minimal prices, and, they are well balanced.

It's really worth your time to pick up your Yellow Pages and find the Center near you.
