Money, money and more money. Not only in India but the world over, corruption is an evil
which has come to stay.It is only the degree that varies.Again, in India it has been developed into a fine art.Even a former PM is on record for having quipped that in India it is a
way of life. Not only does this simple statement
speak volumes but also seems to characterize
a whole nation, alas. What a sad day it was when a former Chief Justice of the Supreme
Court of India stated that at least 20% of the judiciary is corrupt. When corruption has entered
the bloodstream of the high and the mighty,is it any small wonder that the contagion has spread
and affected a multitude?

The core cause of all corruption in the world is greed, and a belief that one's actions only impact one's own self. Until we grok that we are all together on this small, fragile planet, we'll always have corruption. But then there are also always the Mother Teresas and the Ghandis and the Dalai Lamas. They are the ones with the great pearl of life... the answer is not money. If everyone actually knew that.. this would be a totally different planet.

The fire triangle comprises of fuel, oxygen and heat. Without any one these there will be no fire ie., the triangle will be incomplete.
The "Lanjam" (or) "Bribe" triangle comprises of the giver, thetaker&the reason to take. Without any one of these there will be no corruption ie., the Lanjam triangle will be incomplete.

So if ur the Taker - Refrain from taking & charge sheet every case. You will be given a pack of peanut every month end and lan up with granades in ur pant back pocket

But at any point of time in India there have not been any reformers, there were givers, takers, and there has always been a reason to take.

Most importantly its the low wages. But then its also the system. Its not the caste system. Nobody looks at caste while hiring for jobs today.

Its a common disease in the government offices.Everyone right from the ministers to the peon is involved in corruption because there is a lot of opportunity. The environment is such. The attitudes are such.

For example: To get a driver's license, you need to pass the driving test. The brake inspector fails you; then you try the other way, where you end up paying the clerk, the agent and the brake inspector bribes; get your license in two days. Who is there to monitor it?
The officials are making use of the weakness of the public and the public are finding the easier way to get their work done. Otherwise face harassment, run around in circles, wait for a long period to get your work done.

The present laws and anti corruption establishments simply can't control it.Look at the Lokayukta in Bangalore, they nab people every week, hardly anyone gets punished.

Solution:
1. Minimum salaries should be increased substantially
2. Offices need to have better working environments with better working practises, not the dingy, crowded, dirty place we have now.
3. They need to be treated like employees in any other private company, punished for malpractises.
4.Periodically they need to be rotated in their departments, to reduce the monotony.
5. Performance appriasal or promotions.

Ans: People of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan are suffering from the same disease named 'widespread corruption'. This is mainly because all of us were ruled by British and they have not only corrupt the people but made laws to protect the corrupts be that a judge or a clerk. For corrupt Administration they have Official Secrecy Act and for corrupt judicial officers they made law for the protection of Judicial Officer's Act. In their own country they have many ways and means to eradicate corruption but our salve mentality has kept the root of the corruption in the form of those anti-people laws. First get rid of all these laws which take away the right to information and right to speak against corruption It will die its natural death.

Presumably because a former Prime Minister is
reported to have once quipped that corruption is a way of life, people from all walks of life in
India have taken it as a license to engage in corruption. But,drollery apart, base greed of man
can be said to be the widespread cause of
corruption in India.Poverty is another cause. The
list is as endless as the size of the burgeoning
population.

Its always fun to wonder what its like in other country's take China for example...You could send a president there in the 70's and get a fleeting glimpse into their ways and means and make an affiliation of sorts knowing that one of the two people in power was corrupt. If there is a trade of Industry or a selling of some shares here and there that just opens the door for diplomacy right? And hey.. when you see every ones having a good time in the press no harm no foul...
