well whatever little glory india has had in the past was due to the brilliant performances of a few individuals. The team never showed the team spirit for long enough.
To gain glory in the game of cricket:::::
1)india need to realise that cricket is a team game.
2) no player, individual however talented or influential should not be allowed to have a imperial hold over the selection process.
3) The quota system should be done away with...if a certain region is not producing the required talent, its players do not deserve a place in the national squad.
4) The BCCI should be made accountable and all its selection procedures be made transparent.
5)Involve former cricketers during selection and coaching.
6) KEEP POLITICIANS OUT OF THE GAME!

If you are referring the Glory to the victory of WC 1983, then
the chances of India getting even at that level is a long shot.
Indian Cricket is hyped and there is hardly any truth that they
have the famed batting lineup. This is a media misconception.
India has always struggled out side sub-continent. Even the
recent series win is a lucky one as they were close to loosing
it in the 1st test. Sometime they play really good and deserve
to win like in the 2nd test. They goofed up in the 3rd, and the
captain admits that he did not have the bowlers taking them
to victory....It is always negative....Indians cannot field, as
they do not work hard and this is not built in the culture as it
is in Western society. Running few lapses, playing soccer
and volleyball, Indians think they have built enough physical
strength. This is where Indian cricket is.
Ask Kapil, he will tell you everything that you need to know.
The reality is very sad for cricketing fans....

Captain like Dravid will never fetch India glory; choosing to feild in the third ODI, even after getting a lesson from the first ODI, IS DISGRACEFULL! Let the idiot learn something from DADA!
(Though I am a Russian but I am a fan of world cricket & love the Indian team)

I dont think that Indian cricket was at some sort of glory at any time.we never played like champions as west indies at some time or aussies or proteas.so there is no question of returning to its former glory.

Simple... Throw away the old junk parts(players with poor performance) and replace with new ones(young energtic match winners).. Certainly glory will return to indian cricket.

Except Australia no team can return its glory( if it has before) because winning and losing is part of the game.If there is a team effort then the team wins but if there is good opposition and ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN CRICKET.we cant say that India is not performing well because anyone can be out for the good ball.So if any team is winning then it is at its glory.
it should also bring in youngsters

India never had glory in cricket except winning the workd cup in 1983. While India have been performing well in India their performance outside India has always been pathetic. I do not think that the present team is not as bad as the teams of the past

there r 2 ways
* the olden days cricketers who brought up indian team well, should become young & play to the team agian to bring it up... which is impossible
or
*they should take & give chances to the young new players...
in all over india....
than sachin dravid or ganguly there r millions of better players than them in their own country...
just because these current players made records in the past u cannot keep them in the team for ever everyday when they do not play well at all... if they play well everyday it doesnt then it doesnt matter keeping them in the team... if they do not play they should put em out for couple of days & tell them to go for practices, do training or go for local matches & practice well & when they r in a good form then they can again start playing international matches...
