I like Electrosol Tablets with the jet-dry powerball.. I got about 85 tablets for under $7.00 at BJ's wholesale they had a sale and I used a coupon. I also once a month use powdered drink mix sweet/unsweet. on an empty wash cycle to clean out my dishwasher....The citric acid in the drink mix takes away any residue from hardwater and it also smells good.. It's also way cheaper than jet-dry at less than 10 cents per use... good luck

I use Cascade Complete and nothing else. I think it comes in liquid as well as powder, but I prefer the powder. No rinse aid needed and the dishes come out clean and clear.

It's more expensive than most dishwasher powders, but I think it is probably cheaper in the long run since no rinse aid is necessary and I rarely find a dish that isn't clean.

Not sure it's cheaper - but I like the tablets, they do a really nice job.
